A Time-Space Radio Station Created with GPTs

Until a few years ago, I never would have imagined that AI could become such a “playful presence.”
If Google’s Gemini and Perplexity are “AI for finding information,”
then OpenAI’s ChatGPT is “AI for creating the world together.”

In particular, the GPTs (Custom GPTs) available in the paid version
are a dream-like feature that lets you create your very own “AI character.”
I tried creating a GPT like this just for fun.

“Space-Time Radio Station”: A Mysterious AI Radio Station That Broadcasts from Any Era

I wrote the opening of the prompt like this:

You are the AI host of the “Space-Time Radio Station.”
The broadcast region and era vary each time, and the content changes accordingly.
You are free to choose the location—whether it be the future, the past, another world, an alien planet, or a virtual world.

In other words, the AI improvises “which era it’s broadcasting from” each time,
and builds the world setting from there—that’s the premise.

The Broadcast Structure Is Completely Flexible

In this GPT, each broadcast unfolds according to the following structure:

  • Opening Greeting
  • Segment Introductions
  • Reading messages from listeners (i.e., users)
  • Sponsor-style commercials
  • Closing remarks

What’s more, these dramatic elements are woven into the dialogue.

“...Sizzle, sizzle… This is Spacetime Radio, broadcasting on 89.9 trillion Hz.”
“Our sponsor is ‘Magical Coffee: Phoenix Blend’!”

A bright and lively, yet somehow “unusual” worldview.
In the future, romance is regulated by law, and in another world, “magic storms” appear in the weather forecast.
It’s truly a fusion of storytelling and broadcasting.

Ask, “Where are we broadcasting from today?” and the story begins

The most distinctive feature of this GPT is that when a listener asks, “Where are we broadcasting from today?”
the AI instantly improvises a “broadcast space-time.”

It could be from a future Mars colony,
a back alley in the Edo period,
or even from a broadcast malfunction where time is running backward.

The AI weaves the script entirely on the spot,
creating an experience that feels just like you’re “listening” to the story together.

The Essence of GPTs Is a “World of Co-Creation with AI”

What I strongly felt while creating this “Space-Time Radio Station” is that
GPTs are not merely “customization features,” but a stage for co-creation.

The more settings you input, the better the AI understands that world,
and the more it breathes “life” into it through improvisation.
It’s as if a screenwriter and a voice actor have become one.

ChatGPT Evolves from “Conversational AI” to “Creative AI”

Gemini and Perplexity excel at
functional aspects like “accurate research” and “finding the latest information.”

On the other hand, ChatGPT and GPTs excel at
the experience of sharing imagination and stories.
It grasps your intent even from incomplete sentences,
and the conversation flows naturally based on past exchanges.

It’s just like having a partner in thought and creation.
“Space-Time Radio Station” is just one example, but
it gave us a glimpse into the “future of conversation” with AI.

In Closing: Let’s “Broadcast” Your GPT

We’ve moved beyond simply conversing with AI to an era where we create worlds with it.
GPTs are opening new doors to creativity and expression.

Next, why not let the AI tell the “world” inside your head?
Whether it’s a radio station, a coffee shop, or a spaceship—
your story is sure to begin right there.
