A Chrome preset for TourBox: file contents and verification

Download Chrome.tb. Inspection of the decompressed file on September 5, 2026 found the preset name Chrome and shortcut descriptions for Back, Forward, Refresh, Bookmark, Next Tab, Previous Tab, New Tab, Close Tab, and zoom operations.

This is file inspection, not a hardware test of every operation with the current TourBox Console. Confirm the actual button mappings after import.

Prepare before importing

Export or duplicate your existing preset and record Console and macOS versions. Save important forms and open a practice window.

  1. Save Chrome.tb.
  2. Choose import in Console's preset management.
  3. Select the saved file.
  4. Check that Chrome is the target application.
  5. Read the button assignments for unexpected actions.

Menus and supported formats may vary by Console version. If import fails, check the provider's current instructions instead of modifying the binary format.

Verify three operations first

OperationPractice stateExpected result
New tabAn empty Chrome windowOne tab is added
Next and previous tabTwo distinguishable pagesSelection moves
Back and forwardTwo pages visited in one tabNavigation follows history

Test Close Tab last on a tab without unsaved work. First verify the equivalent keyboard action to distinguish browser behavior from a preset problem.

Recover from an unexpected action

Check that Chrome is foreground, application switching selected the correct preset, and the assigned keys match your intention. Disable a problematic button or restore the saved preset if it changes zoom or closes the wrong tab.

Do not assume macOS modifier keys transfer unchanged to Windows. Adjust mappings for the OS and repeat the three checks.

Keep the mappings that help you

Begin with three frequent actions in memorable positions. If errors increase, restore familiar controls. When reporting usability, include the hardware, OS, Console version, mappings, and operations tested.
